Easy Topiary Project & Final Call for Giveaway........

We all know how expensive topiaries can be.  Well the other day I was in Lowes and saw these adorable little boxwoods for only $6.98.  I thought, hmmm, these kinda look like a topiary.  So I bought one and brought it home.  Well, I was so pleased that the next day I went back and bought 2 more.

First I transplanted it into a prettier pot.

It already was starting to look better. Then I got out the clippers and started trimming off the bottom branches. Then I proceeded to trim around the top to create a bit of a symmetrical shape.

It will need some more trimming as it grows to really get it to the ball shape I would like.

The other 2 came out even better.

So for around $7.00 each I am quite pleased with my little topiaries!

Don't forget to sign up for my GIVEWAY if you haven't already.  This is the final call and I will be announcing the winner tomorrow!

  4. Love your blog...I'm going to start following! I'm from upstate NY too. Do you raise sheep to spin yarn? I started knitting. Congrats on winning the giveaway over at Mary's Meanderings. I love the wreath you made that she pictured on her blog
