We all know how expensive topiaries can be. Well the other day I was in Lowes and saw these adorable little boxwoods for only $6.98. I thought, hmmm, these kinda look like a topiary. So I bought one and brought it home. Well, I was so pleased that the next day I went back and bought 2 more.
First I transplanted it into a prettier pot.
It already was starting to look better. Then I got out the clippers and started trimming off the bottom branches. Then I proceeded to trim around the top to create a bit of a symmetrical shape.
It will need some more trimming as it grows to really get it to the ball shape I would like.
The other 2 came out even better.
So for around $7.00 each I am quite pleased with my little topiaries!
Don't forget to sign up for my GIVEWAY if you haven't already. This is the final call and I will be announcing the winner tomorrow!
Well done!

Kim Scissorhands is too cute! I am definitely inspired by your idea. So much to do before it gets too hot here to be ambitious in the garden!

Love your blog...I'm going to start following! I'm from upstate NY too. Do you raise sheep to spin yarn? I started knitting. Congrats on winning the giveaway over at Mary's Meanderings. I love the wreath you made that she pictured on her blog
