Pretty in Pink

I just finished reading my cousins new blog   My Dishwasher's Possessed!   and realized how much our daughter's have in common.  They both think they are princesses!
My youngest daughter just turned 9 and had her birthday party this past weekend.  She is all about pink and everything French!  I love it and had a ball making decorations for her party.
She wanted a "Pink Poodle in Paris" party.  I  have to admit I went further with the Paris, then I did the Poodle!  I received a Cricut for Christmas and just love it!  I made a "Happy Birthday" banner in French "Bon Anniversaire".
Then I proceeded to make cupcake toppers with pink crepe paper and an "Ooh la la Eiffel Tower"

I also made tissue paper flowers and was amazed at how easy these were to make, why haven't I been making these for years???

Then I couldn't stop with the tissue paper and covered my dress mannequin in pink and white tissue and made her a dress! I have to say I love how this came out.
For the centerpiece who is more French than Marie Antoinette?  She is all decked out in pink crepe paper, velvet leaves, a feather for her head and lots of glitter. To finish her off she had to have a banner reading "Let them eat cake".

After the holidays I like to leave up my white feather tree and decorate for the winter holidays.  So both my girls have birthdays in Jan and Feb and with Valentines day I decorated in a combined Birthday/Valentine's Day theme.  I made these little ornaments from crepe paper and glitter and a pretty little angel face.  Then  I cut out some hearts and Eiffel Tower's on the Cricut and covered in silver glitter.
When I was England last year I picked up these "Ice Fountains".  Lots of "oohs and aahs" when this was lit.  I am going to have to find a source for these for the shop, they were beautiful!

We all need a little bit of glitter and pink in our lives!

  1. You certainly had a wonderful party! I know your daughter and her friends must have had a blast! It is so inspiring. I have a Cricut I have never opened, shame on me!

I must get it out and play with it!
