New Treasures and Ramblings...

Well I've been at it again!  Shopping that is!  Is this not the cutest little pincushion and ivory finger darner?

And as my daughter's would say "OMG"  this is the sweetest little bull dog on a silver tape measure.

Now this dollie is not new to me, but I had to share.  This is a beautiful dollie by the very talented Christine Crocker.  I just discovered her blog and was so happy to reconnect with her.  Go see her beautiful blog here  The Pastoral Doll Maker

Ok I can't stop looking at my new to me but very old Santo's.  Is this not wonderful too?  I wish I could take better pictures, I always blame it on the camera but I think it's just me!

So I just had to share.  I really need to reign myself in, but these things just make me feel so good.  I'm sure many of you can understand that.  Especially this time of year when the days are gloomy and cold.  These treasures make me feel warm and sunshiney (is that even a word?)!

We went treasure hunting last weekend for a door for the new cottage, but didn't have any luck.  We want to find something unique and European looking.  I would love a door like these we saw in Bibury,England.

or even better yet, one like that but with an arched top!

Well hope you all have a great weekend.

  1. Hey, don't knock your photos....they are cropped well...if you want a tip to beautiful pics, NEVER use a flash...just place your object beside a window and let the natural light of day work it's soft magic...that's what I do...come see.....

  5. All of your treasures are delightful... but I must admit I too have a weakness for Christe's dolls. Each one a work of art that transports me back to a simpler time.
