Coffee Filter Wreath

I think it needs something more.  What do you think?  I just love the idea of using these coffee filters.  My husband thought that I use the used ones when her is through with them, this way I would really be recycling. Is this man kidding?  I told him I hoped he was thirsty.
Anyway, back to this wreath.  I was thinking of somehow adding some paper birds, but now quite sure how I want to do this. Maybe on some wire?  hmmmmm

  1. I think you should juxtapose the old world feel of the stained filters with some shimmery pearls wrapped around it or something like that. Maybe embelish it with an array of small birds nesting withing the folds. Or, just leave it as is..it's the most unique wreath I have ever seen. Love it!

  2. Hi Kim,
I was going to tell you maybe to wrap some ribbon in the wreath, but I really do like the ideas from Carmelina above with the pearls. I most definitely like the idea of tucking in the birds.
Sorry I know I wasn't a big help, but I really do love the wreath.

  4. I see you chose the perfect green velvet ribbon to hang it... sometimes I'll hang a piece of art for a while, just to see what it speaks to me... I think this might be one of those times... I think it is simply beautiful just like it is.

  5. Ooohhhh I can see some little birds in nests connected with the pearlsover tucked in ribbons. Beautiful wreath base. Think I'll start saving the used coffee filters. I let one dry out and it looks like a used coffee filter minus the grounds. Thanks and Best Wishes
